What is the cut off birthdate for entering kindergarten?
Students must be 5 years old by September 30 of the year they enter kindergarten.
What is the priority zone?
The priority zone is a list of addresses in the vicinity of Mayfair Lab. Applicants residing within the priority zone receive priority selection during the lottery.​

Can new students be accepted in the middle of the school year?
According to EBR district policy, Mayfair Lab may not enroll any students after the 10th day of the school year.
What is the annual tuition rate?
Zero! Mayfair Lab School is a public magnet school within the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Tuition is not charged for students who attend Mayfair Lab.
Is transportation available for Mayfair Lab students?
Yes! Bus transportation is available for all students enrolled at Mayfair Lab.
How many seats are available at ___ grade?
We have 52 seats available for our incoming kindergarten class.
Other grade level's open seats vary from year to year.
